YouTube creator (internship)

The Global New Energy Institute™ (GNEI) is a scientific think tank and advocacy organization dedicated to promoting the benefits of modern, state-of-the-art, advanced nuclear energy. GNEI’s purpose is to engage with politicians, media, influencers, academics and the general public to educate about the 21st century New Nuclear™ Energy Revolution.

GNEI’s argument is first and foremost economic: New Nuclear will generate electricity at vastly lower levels of cost compared to the current 1970’s-era technology. New Nuclear is clean, ultra safe, compact and decentralized. New Nuclear will be essential to national security of NATO and allied democracies, providing reliable energy supplies to our militaries and reducing dependence on illiberal regimes, particularly in the Middle East.

Position

GNEI is planning to run a YouTube channel to promote the aims of the think tank, specifically on New Nuclear. We are offering a full-time internship to join our small team to produce regular quality content. While the position will be a fixed term internship, we expect that a suitable candidate will transition to a permanent position at the end of the internship.

The position will suit somebody wishing to establish themselves in this field and will seek to learn with the GNEI team.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

  1. A commitment to individual liberty.
  2. A curiosity about how technology can improve the lives of citizens.
  3. An interest in creating YouTube content.
  4. The ability to self learn.
  5. Fluency in English.

The successful candidate can work remotely and the position is available to a citizen of any nation. However, the candidate will be expected to travel extensively, so a passport with reasonable visa free travel ability will be an advantage. Being based in Europe or North America will also be an advantage. The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director and will liaise with board members.

The type of content to be produced will include:

  1. Education videos about the history of nuclear power.
  2. Periodical news update videos.
  3. Education videos about the various types of nuclear energy.
  4. Overviews about various companies building new nuclear.

Applications should be in the form of a five minute video, introducing yourself and highlighting any relevant experience you have.
